2True Glossywear Lipstick No. 10

Hey! My very first ever beauty blog post. May as well make it something I'm passionate about; lipstick! Yep, I'm going to talk about one of my favourite lipsticks.

First up is 2True Glossywear lipstick in No. 10. The texture of this lipstick is hard to explain, it feels matte but it has a very, very slight shimmer running through it, it feels quite waxy, not unlike a stick lip balm (which I like), it is sort of sheer, you can still see the natural colour of your lips beneath but I find it to be quite pigmented. It's also very moisturising. Strange, huh?

The colour is absolutely gorgeous, a dark berry red with fuschia-purple undertones. I'd say it is the perfect lip colour for A/W13, as it is more purple toned than last year's burgundy-red lip.

So, here is this little gem in action. It applies smoothly but not too slippery or slick (I dislike those words greatly) and it wears evenly to a dark pink-red stain. I'm sorry, I feel inclined to add a picture of my dry sandpaper 'before' lips for comparison.

Like I said, this lipstick is one of my favourites and the fact that it retails for only £1.99 at Superdrug stores or online makes me like it more. See you soon!

Sleek True Colour Lipstick, Matte Dare

Hey! So, I'm going to continue with my favourite lipsticks, as you have probably deduced it is indeed a Sleek Matte lipstick in Dare.

As with most lipsticks, this can be quite drying on the lips and it is quite difficult to apply if you have dry lips *sob* but it is longlasting and it wears evenly to a dark red stain. The pigmentation of this lipstick is amazing, once you have got round the dry texture BAM you have dark red lips in one swipe! I love the pigmentation of this lipstick so much, despite it being a dark, matte shade it creates the illusion of fuller lips and I like to wear it lightly as a stain too.

The colour of this lipstick.. ohmyglob. Maybe the most perfect colour in my lipstick collection? A dark vampy neutral red with brown undertones, it is universally flattering. The below photos show it as being a plummy colour but it is infact a neutral dark red.

 Here are the standard 'before and after' pictures. As you can see from one layer my lips are completely covered!

This lipstick retails at £4.99 from Superdrug stores or online. Quite the bargain!
